A grounded experiential axis
The telluric–quantum axis
Between body and awareness
Sometimes the body is present, while awareness is elsewhere.
Sometimes awareness is very active, while the body stays in the background – held, tense, or barely felt.
My work begins from that simple observation. It is rarely spoken aloud, and it is different for every person.
An axis of experience
In my practice I use the words telluric and quantum as working markers.
They refer to no belief, no scientific model and no particular spiritual view. They name two poles of experience, between which the relationship can stretch, stiffen, or lose its balance.
This axis connects the body as it is lived to awareness as it is lived. When the dialogue between them becomes more fluid, experience often gains clarity, stability and coherence.
The telluric pole – inhabiting the body
The telluric pole concerns embodied presence.
It speaks of the body as it is felt:
- weight
- contact with the ground
- breath
- areas of tension, and areas of ease
The body is not treated as an object to be corrected, but as a place of experience. Sensations, tensions, movements or absences of sensation are approached as information – not as problems to solve, but as expressions to be listened to.
To inhabit the body is not to control it, nor to correct it. It is to feel it, to listen to it, and to let it have its place.
When this pole is supported, the body can become a safe place again – a point of support, a space that can be lived in.
The quantum pole – opening awareness
The quantum pole concerns awareness itself.
It has to do with attention, with perception, and with the inner space from which experience is lived.
Awareness allows sensations to be perceived, recognised and integrated without forcing interpretation or meaning.
When this pole is open, what is felt can be met as it is – without having to be explained, named, or turned into something else.
Orientation, not direction
Rather than seeking elevation or transcendence, the work remains grounded in what is actually lived, here and now.
The axis offers orientation, not direction. It does not impose a path, but supports balance and continuity between the two poles.
A non-intrusive posture
I do not seek to act upon the person, nor to guide a process toward a predefined outcome.
My role is to hold a clear, stable and respectful framework, within which the person’s own experience can unfold at its own pace.
This posture leaves space for autonomy, discernment and personal meaning to emerge naturally.
An approach, not a belief system
This work does not rely on any belief system, doctrine or worldview.
The terms used serve only to describe lived experience. They are pointers, not explanations, and never require adherence or conviction.
